Amazon Web Services is developing two data center campuses, Lake Anna Technology Campus and North Creek Technology Campus, in Louisa County's Technology Overlay District, backed by a planned $11 billion investment by 2040. The county expects a 15-year build-out. A separate 7.2 million sq ft AWS proposal on 1,370 acres near Northeast Creek Reservoir was withdrawn in July 2025 after community opposition, and AWS later bought about 1,920 acres in that area.
