Google, through Deep Meadow Ventures, sought to rezone 468 acres of farmland in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis, near I-74 and Post Road, for a four-building data center campus. The Metropolitan Development Commission approved the rezoning 8-1 in August 2025, but Google withdrew the petition at the City-County Council meeting on September 22, 2025, after sustained resident opposition.
